A fire brick is a block of refractory ceramic material used in lining furnaces, kilns, fireboxes, and fireplaces. A refractory brick is designed mainly to withstand high heat, but should also usually have a low thermal conductivity to save energy. There are to main types of Fire Bricks in the Market i.e.
1). 40% Alumina Fire Brick (Sevice Temp. of upto 1300 degrees ) of standard dimensions of 230*115*75mm
2).70% Alumina Fire Bricks (Sevice Temp. of upto 1750 degrees )of standard dimensions of 230*115*75mm
Usually dense bricks are used in applications with extreme mechanical, chemical, or thermal stresses, such as the inside of a wood-fired kiln or a furnace, which is subject to abrasion from wood, fluxing from ash or slag, and high temperatures. Dense refractory bricks have a high thermal mass which is sometimes a useful property in that they will retain heat eg in a pizza oven after the fire has been taken out. Refractory bricks usually contain 30-40% alumina and the primary raw material is usually chamotte with other materials. The maximum service temperature increases with increasing alumina content and kiln bricks can be obtained with an alumina content of 80% and above.

Kenworks Ventures Company Limited is the leading supplier of Calcium Silicate Boards in Kenya and East Africa.
Calcium Silicate Boards are manufactured from a mixture of Portland cement, fine silica, special cellulose fibers and selected fillers to impart durability, toughness and moisture resistance. Calcium Silicate Sheet is then cured by an autoclaving process whereby the ingredients are reacted together under heated steam and high pressure.
Kenworks Ventures Company Limited is one of the leading supplier of Chrome Magnesite Bricks and Cement in the Kenyan Market and across the border.
Magnesia Chrome Brick is a kind of basic refractory material with more than 90% magnesium oxide content and periclase as the main crystal phase, which has excellent properties of high refractoriness, high temperature strength, good thermal shock resistance and strong basic slag erosion resistance and is mainly used for steelmaking basic open-hearth furnace, electric furnace bottom and wall, permanent lining of oxygen converter, non-ferrous metal metallurgy furnace, high-temperature tunnel kiln, lining of rotary kiln, furnace bottom and wall of heating furnace, regenerative chamber of glass furnace and etc.
We can offer a huge gamut of Chrome Magnesite Bricks to our clients. These bricks are widely used in steel mill, metallurgy, cement factory, alumina industries worldwide. These bricks are reckoned for their low maintenance, tough construction, resistance against temperature and heat and durability. These are available in various sizes, shapes, patterns and designs as per their needs and demands. Moreover, these bricks are available at market leading prices.
CIMENT FONDU® is a calcium aluminate-based hydraulic binder, in contrast to Portland cements, which contain calcium silicates. CIMENT FONDU® is the pioneer of alumina cements. All calcium aluminate cements possess the general properties of good refractoriness and high early strength when used alone as the principal hydraulic binder. The latter property is often used in combination with other minerals such as calcium sulfate and/or Portland cement to produce high early strengths and/or shrinkage compensation through the formation of ettringite.
CIMENT FONDU® additions to Portland cement will accelerate the initial set from hours to minutes depending on the type and mill of manufactured Portland cement.
Product advantages:
Accelerated 3- to 30-minute setting
Quick resumption of activity: operations resume 6 hours after pouring
Use in cold temperatures: down to -10°C
Resistance to temperature: from 450°C to 1250°C, depending on the aggregates used

Kenworks Ventures Company Limited is a large supplier high-quality Insulating Bricks in Nairobi Kenya.
Insulating refractory brick (IRB) is the term used for heat insulating bricks and covers those heat insulating materials which are applied up to 1000 deg C. These bricks are assigned to the group of lightweight refractory bricks and are manufactured on the basis of naturally occurring lightweight raw materials.
IRB is a class of brick, which consists of highly porous fireclay or kaolin. IRBs are lightweight, low in thermal conductivity, and yet sufficiently resistant to temperature to be used successfully on the hot side of the furnace wall, thus permitting thin walls of low thermal conductivity and low heat content. The low heat content is particularly important in saving fuel and time on heating up, allows rapid changes in temperature to be made, and permits rapid cooling. IRB is characterized by the presence of large amount of porosity in it. The pores are mostly closed pores. The presence of porosity decreases the thermal conductivity of the insulating bricks.
