The International Standard IEC6111:2009 outlines the rubber insulating matting requirements for electrical purposes and specifies the building materials, thickness, width and test conditions and the results expected to meet the standard.
Class 0 Electrical Safety Matting –1000V is made of Electrical Insulating Rubber EPDM. The electric safety Mats as per IEC61111 Class 0 are a high performance ribbed rubber insulating mat that is completely licensed to comply with IEC61111.
The IEC61111 Class 0 electrical safety matting is fully accredited with a suggested safety operating voltage of 1kV and is tested at 10kV. In addition, the insulating matting has on one side a fine ribbed, anti-slip surface pattern and on the reverse side a cloth impression finish that ensures safe working conditions for users.
IEC 61111:2009 Electrical safety matting class 0 1000V AC will provide equal security to the BS921 650V AC standard abolished. Class 0 matting is a higher-specified base elastomer, requiring only 6 mm thickness, and is also authorized for greater operating AC voltage.
The standard IEC 61111:2009 states that a’ Proof test’ is required for every meter cycle of matting; and that each manufacturing unit has a’ Withstanding tests. These experiments imply you can be assured of matting every batch and every linear meter.
Isolating matting is available in cut lengths 3 mm and 6mm thick and 0.91 m, 1 m and 1.2 m wide on request.
